Dr. Milwood is engaged in further research in the Transatlantic Slave Trade, its psychological and spiritual impact on and African descendants globally, with the absence of collective consciousness and the legacy of dysfunctionalism.

Dr. Milwood was for some time a senior part-time lecturer in Biblical and Religious Studies for . He believes passionately that the context of black people sociologically, politically, economically and theologically is a direct result of the slave trade.
