Autorenporträt
Anthony R. Kovner, PhD, is professor at the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, New York University (NYU), and was director of the health policy and management program for 16 years. He was the fourth recipient of the Filerman Prize for Educational Leadership from the Association of University Programs in Health Administration. At NYU, he developed the health program capstone course and the executive master of public administration program for nurse leaders. He has written or edited 11 books and more than 90 peer-reviewed articles, many of them case studies. Kovner has been a senior manager of two hospitals, a nursing home, a group practice, and a neighborhood health center, as well as a senior healthcare consultant for a large industrial union. He has been a leader in the evidence-based management movement and served as a founding member of the Academic Council of the Center for Evidence-Based Management.
