Common themes and different views about the topic External and Internal Locus of Control: Community and Individuality are compared based from narrative theory views and what they have to say about individual's problem solving skills, critical thinking through self-identity, altruism, and recognition of environmental influences through the act of using locus of control individually and within community. Locus of Control focuses on what we have learned to perceive what happens to us. Although each view carries with it the common theme of Locus Control, each view gives its own unique theorized points by way of providing social communication solidity through usage of cognitive, behavioral, and humanistic psychology in hopes of offering diverse ways to mold individuals or communities toward the social experiences of locus of control. Barriers can be broken to alleviate vast gaps within communication among differences and communities if proper internal locus of control and external locus of control are implemented into the everyday life of people and community holistically and profoundly. Such actions support further advancement of individuals' problem-solving skills, critical thinking through self-identity, altruism, and recognition of environmental influences through the act of using locus control.
