Produktbeschreibung
Salama spent the night in Umm Abeer's house. He slapped her and cursed her. However, he slept and snored. After he slapped her, he put on his clothes and they were leaving, but the panic written in her eyes softened his heart. She seemed crushed in her loneliness, clinging to the corner of the room, sitting cross-legged, protecting her face from nothing with her hands. He approached her and she shrank in herself, and thought that his gigantism was almost breaching the ceiling of the room. In this novel, Nasser Iraq continues his dive into the depths of the human psyche, through the character of Abdel Moumen Al-Saeed, the obscure actor who dreams of an opportunity worthy of his broad talent and that will take him to the stardom he deserves, but he goes through life as a mere extra, performing a role on the sidelines of life, haunted by obsessions. His soul is ravaged by the labyrinths of death, after he has turned into a fugitive ((from earthworms)), and his stable life is replaced by another life, from which nothing brings him back except the throes of death. The novel is characterized by a coherent, albeit somewhat complex, architectural structure. The symmetry (balance) in it is clear between the flow of words, the consistency of synonyms, the elegance of the language, and the harmony of events. Although the symmetry in the novel The Extras is an essential pillar in the construction between classicism and modernity, Nasser Iraq used two lines from the first time, beginning Since 1966 and extending to 2011, the second line extended for a few hours and days during which Egypt witnessed change. The time in them took days in 2011. The days were on the lips of Fatima, Faten, Bassem Marzouk, and Jamil El-Shennawy in Tahrir Square, holding on to the threads of the January Revolution, commenting on Mubarak's brutality and insolence, and the tyranny of the police and their withdrawal. The role of the military council, and the role of extras, which was skillfully played by Dr. Mohamed ElBaradei. Then we return to ancient times when Abdel Moumen heard his mother's groans in the arms of men, passing through her death at the hands of his father, who smashed her head with a hammer. Ismail El Naggar, one of her clients, on a dark night.
