Autorenporträt
Deborah Curtin is an established artist and writer who continues to look for the next opportunity that speaks to her. Her current art is featured at a baseball stadium, service station and several hospitals. She has painted six, 4 ft. sculpted eagles that have been auctioned off as part of the Eagle Parade for Veterans Count, a program of Easter Seals. Opportunities for promoting art and writing for Deborah have continued with segments on public television and radio and in local schools. A story Deborah wrote began a weekly column of her 'Human Interest' stories for a local newspaper. Each opportunity she had when interacting with humans and their interests, became more valuable when ideas, thoughts and investigative pursuits were added to her personal well and one that she continued to add to. This well had accumulated moments of everyday living and thus became the source to bring story-telling to a new level; writing a novel. Her first novel was an award-winning, current day themed military story, Today is the Day. This became only one way that Deborah has used writing in her ongoing support for the military. The second novel, Faith on Fire - Thy Will Be Done, is historical fiction yet based on members of her family during the Civil War. She walked many miles figuratively and for real to create and capture an accurate understanding of this time in history. Currently, she is writing her third novel, an action-packed Viet Nam-era story with a Super Hero theme.
