The past year has been a real challenge for me, and I am still processing it all. I am still trying to go on without my husband, learning to live with the diagnosis of heart failure, surviving after a life-saving surgery in which I was not expected to live, and dealing with hair loss as a. I cried out to my God, asking him for help. He reminds me, "I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you" (Isaiah 46:4). That verse from the Bible has been so reassuring to me, even through my daddy's death and my uncle's passing. All these events took place within a six-month period.
In the midst of all turmoil, I find comfort from Psalm 147:3: "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." As I pour my heart out to God, Psalm 46:1 reminds me that he is my refuge and my strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Believing in these truths has helped me forge my way through a very long and painful journey. I can honestly say that faith really can move mountains.
Truly I say to you, "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." (Matthew 17:20-21)
