Dad jokes to his relatives in Sicily that maybe his sons would have better luck with an arranged marriage. Situations in Sicily are tense because, unknown to the American visitors, their family is very deep in the Mafia. To safeguard his daughter and a niece, the enforcer for the family takes this mention of an arranged marriage seriously. When the Americans arrive on Monday they are informed that the weddings are to be on Friday. As they tour the island they are beset by a variety of dangers coming from unknown sources as well as the threat that they may meet with a terrible accident if the marriages do not take place as planned.
