Faust is a poetic theatrical work written by Johann Wolfgang Goethe, combining a translation of the original play with the composition of a collection of poems. The story revolves around the character of Faust, the German alchemist who, despite his great acquisition of knowledge, feels regret over his life spent seeking knowledge without finding happiness. When he realizes that he has aged, the demon Mephistopheles appears to him, who promises to restore his youth in exchange for his soul. Faust accepts the offer, but finds that the restoration of youth is not what he expected, leading him into internal conflicts and conflicts with forces beyond his understanding. The second part of the book contains a collection of separate poems by the poet Anani, dealing with various topics between the self and the world around him, using different poetic styles.
