Herbert Crawford is an accomplished author and a dedicated person who has made tremendous contributions to the field of education, rendered community service and participated in religious activities both in his native country of Jamaica and the Cayman Islands. With a Bachelor of Science degree in education and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Miami, Florida, Herbert's educational background has played a pivotal role in shaping his multifaceted career. As a retired educator with over 40 years of service, Herbert has played a crucial role in the education of many Caymanian children, thus leaving an indelible impact on countless lives. As an avid commercial farmer, his agricultural pursuits reflect his appreciation for nature and the importance of sustainable practices. Additionally, he is a dedicated sports enthusiast and traveler; exploring different countries and cultures and experiencing diverse landscapes around the world has broadened his perspective and enriched his writing. Herbert's devotion to his faith is a central pillar of his life. As a devoted Christian and an active member of his church, he has served in the capacity of lay Pastor for over 30 years, providing spiritual guidance and support to the community. He has taken on leadership roles in nonprofit organisations such as Child Evangelism Fellowship and the Savannah Men's Outreach Organization. Furthermore, he became the first Chair of the Cayman Islands Prison Monitoring Board, ensuring regular visits, inspections and reviews of conditions in prisons and detention centers. He currently serves as a member of the Education Council with oversight for schools and centres of higher education. As a budding author, Herbert has published 3 books: 108 Prayers Straight From The Heart, 366 Prayers For All Seasons and his latest: A Daily Devotional Of The Word, Reflection and Prayers Of Praise. Herbert is a family man, and he cherishes his family life. He has been married to his wife Marisa for 50 golden years. His wife is a retired banker who now dedicates her time and resources to church, Sunday School, the Girls' Brigade, the Duke of Edinburgh Award, Youth Fellowship and other community outreach. They are proud parents to daughter Natasha and granddaughters Kylie and Addison.
