Maria Cristina Meriggiola is an Associate Professor at the Clinic of Obstetrics and Gynecology, S Orsola Hospital and the Department of Medical and Surgical Sciences, University of Bologna. She is a temporary member of the scientific and technical advisory group of the Special Programmme of Human Reproduction and Reproductive Health Research (STAG) WHO, Geneva with focus on male hormonal contraception. She is a clinical researcher with a particular interest in male hormonal contraception, hormonal treatment in the transgender population and menopause.

Kristina Gemzell-Danielsson is a Professor and Chair of the Division of Neonatology, Obstetrics and Gynecology and Head of the Department of Women’s and Children’s Health, Karolinska Institutet and Senior Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Karolinska University Hospital. She is Head of the research group at the WHO collaborating Centre for research and research training in Human Reproduction. She is Honorary Clinical Professor at Hong Kong University, and Honorary Fellow of the FSRH, RCOG, UK. Kristina Gemzell Danielsson was a member of the International Committee for Contraceptive Research (ICCR), Population Council. She is past President of the European Society for Contraception and Reproductive Health, and FIAPAC, member of the scientific and technical advisory group of the Special Programmme of Human Reproduction and Reproductive Health Research (STAG) WHO, Geneva, the International Medical Advisory Panel (IMAP) IPPF and member of the Nobel Assembly, Karolinska Institutet. Her research is translational (experimental and clinical trials “from bench to bed to the hands of women”) with a focus on endometrial function, embryo implantation, induced abortion, emergency contraception and development of new contraceptive technology.
