In my own worried prayer recently, in the midst of my stewing that my fiancé might have skin cancer, the thought ran through my mind, "When have I let you down?" I stopped, dumbfounded. I had to shake my head and smile in shame. How totally true this statement was. When has God let me down? In all of the prayers and pleadings of my heart, when has He left me to founder and be in need without help coming? Never.

For forty-five years, God has provided jobs, energy, health, and wisdom for me to find opportunity and means to see to my needs. When has God let me down? Never. And, by the way, the cancer test came back negative. (Thank you, Father). The powerful gifts of happiness, physical and spiritual blessings, and eternal life are ours because He loves us so very, very much!
