"Khitam" in this novel is nothing but a symbol of the Arab person with his concerns, dreams, failures, and victories. "Khitam" faced, with her simplicity, the complexities of life on the journey of immigration from the occupied country in search of a source of livelihood and a decent life accompanied by her partner. To continue her struggle with life, searching for a place and time for her simple dream of living a life without complications. Just as the times in the novel were multiple, so were the environments and places, starting from occupied Palestine, passing through Lebanon, Jordan, and Syria, then the Emirates, where "Khittam" finds a homeland and a refuge for her and her children. The novel ends by returning to the beginning scene in an attempt to convince the reader that he is faced with real work, and not Just the imagination of a writer who decided to venture into the novel space.
