Like most kids of my era, Saturday I was glued to the television. I cut my teeth on the old Westerns "The Lone Ranger," "Gene Autry and Roy Rogers," to name a few. Many a time, the money I made went for the paperback novels. An avid reader, I owe a debt of gratitude to Louis L'mour. He inspired me to try my hand at the writing trade. Though not as colorful or descriptive as him, I leaned toward fast action and sex. John Wayne, nearly everyone's hero, along with Clint Eastwood exuberated masculinity. Even now as the public seems to produce more sissies, it's time for a hero for the next generation. My background in construction work as well as my time working with cattle and horses gives me a lot of experience along with some of the characters I have known. I hope readers enjoy a success story. There are still wild cattle and horses in the breaks, if you're man enough.
