Autorenporträt
Doris Lance, author of FLOWERS-in-the-WILD, photographs wildflowers in their natural habitat as she logs over 5,000 miles on foot. Trekking below sea level in Death Valley, California to over 11,000 feet in Patagonia, Chile, she has discovered flowering treasures which she illustrates in her book, FLOWERS-in-the-WILD.The numerous discoveries, sketched by the author in black and white, are included in her book, along with inspiring daily quotes plus a space to write about thoughts and feelings of each day in order to gain encouragement and relieve stress. The Isle of Skye, Scotland; the Machu Picchu trail in Peru; Mount Fuji, Japan; Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest. California; plus Patagonia, Chile, the list exploring continues as she adventures off-the-beaten path as a wondering nomad.Currently an Emeritus instructor at Cuesta College, in California, she acquired a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Carolina University, in Cullowhee, N.C., as well as specialized graduate studies from Vanderbilt University.
