David Tossell has been a sports journalist for more than three decades and is the author of nine previous books on a range of sports. Formerly executive sports editor of the Today newspaper, he is currently head of European Public Affairs for the NFL. Four of his books have been short-listed in the British Sports Book Awards: Bertie Mee (best biography), Grovel! and Tony Greig (best cricket book), and Nobody Beats Us (best rugby book). Grovel! and Following On were finalists in the MCC/Cricket Society Book of the Year Award.
