Recipes are mostly the writer's own, chosen to suit the quotations from Noël Coward himself and others who wrote about him. The wit and brilliance is theirs.

Many writers include food in their stories, but his use of food and drink is so detailed and exactly right it appears to have had a special meaning for him. Hopefully this comes through in the book. Julie Vellacott lives in the lovely Scenic Rim in south east Queensland. She has been a long-time admirer of Nöel Coward since listening to her oldest brother and friends sing his songs around the piano.She is a keen reader, traveller, writer and wildlife watcher. Also, a hopeful photographer. Food, cooking and writing have been important in her life for both leisure and work. Julie has worked in several countries in the hospitality, entertainment, publishing and teaching fields.Julie is passionate about theatre and all the arts. She collects vintage cookbooks and has dipped into them to unearth recipes for this book.Julie retired recently from employment as a cultural officer and shares her home with Tiggomy - a very large, opinionated ginger cat.
