The novel and her characters revolve around a fixed axis, which is the mother "Hoda", starting from its origins in Lebanon until its stability and life in Egypt and the killing of all its people in Lebanon. Her husband begins to satisfy her to buy a house in "Jbeil", as well as the opening of a branch of the company there, and the family has regular trips for Lebanon. The children grow up and each of them becomes life, and everything begins on that night in which they meet in Jubail to celebrate the New Year for the year 2000. The writer tells through successive and intersecting chapters the lives of all family members from New Year's Eve 2000 to 2020, the date of their sad meeting, to the injury of their mother, Hoda, "Alzheimer's".
