He passed away on April 7, 1947, in Dearborn, Michigan. Ford was the first entrepreneur to produce automobiles in series, assembling his first car in 1892. He was the founder of the Ford Motor Company and author of the books "My Philosophy of Industry" and "My Life and Work." Ford was the first entrepreneur to apply assembly line production to produce a large number of automobiles in less time and at a lower cost.
