Loving the Norseman was dangerous
Losing him would destroy her
In late autumn, Lothar and his crew sail home after a successful season along their trade route when a torrential storm battered their ship. All are thrown into the sea, but not before one of them attempted assassination.
Priestess Dara's peaceful solitary existence is shattered when she finds a body face-down on the beach. She wonders which is more frightening; the blood spilling from his shoulder or the wolf on his tunic. She must decide whether to risk torture and death if discovered while he heals, or him over to the King, and finally earn the acceptance she longed for.
Stranded and recovering, Lothar must choose between being a rogue by returning to his homeland to find who wanted him dead, or risk his life to win the love of the strong-willed Priestess.
Can their forbidden love unite two worlds?

So Is My Word ~ So Is My Bond
This is the love story of Lothar and Dara, two people, who by all standards were enemies. But Dara is a healer, a Priestess and it is not in her to do harm. Lothar was returning on a trading voyage when they encountered a terrible storm, and a traitor who tried to kill him, he washes on shore. Lothar proves his loyalty to Dara, the King and her kinsman. He trains them in combat and prepares them for a battle he knows will be coming. -Redrabbit
Waiting for the Second Book
I have only one complaint about this book, it ended much to soon! I'll be anxiously awaiting the second book to see where the story goes. The characters are well written and quite unique, it has an interesting plot and is an enjoyable story. -BL Froman
Thoroughly enjoyable 9th century story
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the journey of Dara and Lothar. The main characters are wonderfully fleshed out, the story line is strong with a few unexpected twists that kept me guessing throughout the book. -Renee
