The collection of papers in this volume represents our initial efforts in presenting the voices of researchers and their work on Professional Development Schools (PDSs). As editors of this volume we do not presume to have the absolute final cut of research papers that collectively represent all of the work completed in the field across the nation. However, in light of the fact that relatively very little has been researched and reported about PDSs and in consideration of their significance in the teacher education, we are proud of the papers selected for readers to examine and use to deepen our understanding of PDSs and thus, facilitate our improvement efforts.
