Marita Rainsborough lehrt als Privatdozentin am Institut für Philosophie und Kunstwissenschaft der Leuphana Universität Lüneburg und am Romanischen Seminar der Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel. Sie ist assoziiertes Mitglied am Centre of Philosophy University of Lisbon (CFUL) und Mitherausgeberin der Zeitschrift »Estudos Kantianos«. Ihr Forschungsschwerpunkt bezieht sich - vom Konzept der interkulturellen Philosophie ausgehend - auf Schnittstellen zwischen zeitgenössischer französischer und afrikanischer Philosophie und dem Erbe der klassischen deutschen Philosophie von Kant und Hegel.
