The student of politics asks why he should prefer one type of political organization over another? He wants to know what the political organization should aim for, and by what standard can its goals, methods, and extent of success be judged? He also asks why he should obey? Are there occasions when he should not obey? These questions are not - extraneous questions - and they will continue to be asked. Political theory must be a guide to how to address these questions, otherwise it is doomed. This does not mean that he must provide only one answer, simple and clear, to every practical problem. But this means that political theory must guide us on how to proceed on the path to solving it, and what is the nature of the correct path to that? What considerations should we keep in mind? In short, what are the foundations on which the solution is based?
