This book contains five chapters that detail infrared thermal imaging. Chapter One aims to understand the potential benefits of using thermography as an additional tool for evaluating postural control. Chapter Two discusses the distribution of body temperature in musculoskeletal diseases, as well as the pathophysiology regarding body temperature and its relationship with pain. Chapter Three proposes a simple in-situ noninvasive approach for R-value measurement based on interfacial thermal resistance of the thermal boundary layer between envelope exterior surface and ambient air, and infrared thermal imaging of envelope surface. Chapter Four discusses studies related to the physiology of body temperature, the importance of similar temperature distribution between body hemispheres, and normality patterns of this distribution evaluated by thermography. Lastly, Chapter Five addresses body temperature distribution in patients with and without strokes and the associations between sensorimotor recovery, sensitivity, perception, and body temperature in individuals with stroke sequelae.
