Autorenporträt
Moray Watson is Professor of Gaelic and Translation and the director of Ionad Eòghainn MhicLachlainn, the National Centre for Gaelic Translation, based at the University of Aberdeen. He has taught Gaelic at the University of Aberdeen for seventeen years, having previously been a university teacher at the Northern College, Aberdeen, the National University of Ireland, Galway, and the University of the Highlands and Islands. His publications include An Introduction to Gaelic Fiction (2011) and The Edinburgh Companion to the Gaelic Language (2010). He translated Alice's Adventures in Wonderland to Gaelic, published by Evertype as Eachdraidh Ealasaid ann an Tìr nan Iongantas in 2012. His Gaelic translation of the Glossika language teaching system (2017) is a powerful, free resource for Gaelic learners. He is currently preparing his translation of The Hobbit to Gaelic for publication. This Gaelic Workbook 1 is the first volume in a series of workbooks designed to support the Progressive Gaelic course.
