Autorenporträt

Chris Merrill grew up in a tennis family, with both parents and his older brother all enjoying the sport. Tennis has provided Chris with a vehicle to travel the world, whether as a budding junior player, Division I college player at Long Beach State, professional player, instructor, and finally, a nationally ranked senior player(United States #1 ranking in 2005 for Adult 40 & over doubles).

Chris has been fortunate to spend most of his working career in the tennis industry, working with industry leaders like Wilson Racquet Sports, and Mizuno Tennis, among others. Chris' work in sales, marketing and product development roles have provided background for his first novel, GAME SET MURDER - A Stan Powell Thriller. Chris currently works for the USTA Pacific Northwest as a Regional League Coordinator for Southwest Washington, growing tennis one player at a time.

Chris lives with his wife Angie and their dog Lily, a German Shorthaired Pointer, in Portland, Oregon. When not on the tennis court, Chris can be found out on the nearby hiking and mountain bike trails reveling in the beauty of the Pacific Northwest...and he hasn't given up his quest for a gold ball on the senior tennis circuit.
