Jacqueline Ullman is Senior Lecturer in Adolescent Development, Behaviour and Wellbeing at Western Sydney University, Australia. Her primary research focus is the schooling experiences of sexuality and gender diverse students and LGBTQI-inclusivity across primary and secondary classrooms. She is co-editor of the Journal of LGBT Youth. She is also the editor of Understanding Sociological Theory for Educational Practices (with Ferfolja and Jones Diaz, 2015). Tania Ferfolja is Associate Professor in Social and Cultural Diversity at Western Sydney University, Australia. Her research focuses on sexuality and gender diverse subjectivities in education. She is the editor of Understanding Sociological Theory for Educational Practices (with Ullman and Diaz, 2015), author of Crossing Borders: African Refugees, Teachers and Schools (2010) and co-editor of From Here to Diversity: The Social Impact of Lesbian and Gay Issues in Education in Australia and New Zealand (with Robinson, 2002).
