Isa Nichols, the author of The Bullet Was Meant for Me: The DC Sniper Story Untold has been interviewed and featured on numerous national television shows including Larry King Live, Fox And Friends, BET, OWN, A&E, PBS, Discovery Channels, Lifetime's Movie Network "Monster In My Family." It was her niece, Keenya Cook, that was the first victim to die at the hands of the DC Snipers when John Muhammad sent Lee Boyd Malvo to Nichols' door to kill Isa. Malvo, who didn't know what Nichols looked like shot and killed Isa's 21-year-old niece instead. Isa Farrington Nichols is the founder and CEO of Innovative Sound Advice, LLC. She is also the founder of Jireh-Shalom Foundation, providing advocacy, and resources for the reconciliation of trauma for children, families, and the community. Jireh and Shalom are Hebrew words for provision and peace. She is the Executive Director of the Maxine Mimms Academies, a non-profit organization which provide educational services to marginalized suspended, expelled students, drop-outs returning them back to public education. Farrington Nichols has two daughters and four granddaughters and lives in Tacoma, Washington.
