Tom Jackson is a science writer based in the UK. Over the last 20 years he has written more than 100 books and contributed to many more. Tom works with a wide range of subjects and has written about everything from axolotls to zoroastrianism. His specialties are natural history, technology and the history of science. Tom studied zoology at Bristol University. Before beginning a life of writing, he worked as a zookeeper and conservationist, which saw him planting trees in Somerset, surveying Vietnamese jungles and rescuing wildlife from droughtridden Zimbabwe. Tom lives in Bristol with his wife and three children.
