However, The Explosion In Our Understanding Of Mammalian Genome And Accompanying Technological Innovations Has Opened Up New Avenues In Farm Animal Genetic Research. Advances In Molecular Genetics During The Last Two Decades Have Been Phenomenal And The Researchers Are More Inclined To Use GenomicTools To Solve Their Research Questions. Molecular Markers Especially DNA Markers That Are Capable Of Revealing Genetic Variations At DNA Level Are Now Key Players In Animal Genetic Research Programs. Various DNA Markers Like Restricted Fragment Length Polymorphism (RFLP), Short Tandem Repeats (Microsatellites), Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNP), Etc. And DNA Sequencing Methods Are Increasingly Used By Researchers Not Only For Marker Based Genetic Improvement Programs But Also In Conservation Genetics To Analyze The Diversity And Relationship Of Livestock Populations. Part III Gives A Brief Overview On Different Bioinformatics Tools With Special Emphasis On Designing Oligonucleotide Primers And Analysis Of DNA Sequences Generated In The Laboratory.
