Autorenporträt

Nick Norman, born and raised in KwaZulu-Natal, studied geology at the University of Natal in Durban, where he graduated with an MSc. in geology at the end of 1968. He has worked in mineral exploration in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Brazil and Chile, undertaking, in addition, shorter term assignments elsewhere in South America and Africa. In the 1970s he served as honorary secretary to the Geological Society of SA. He currently works as a consulting geologist in various parts of Africa. He lives with his wife and two children in Franschhoek, Western Cape.
