George Walker, in Egypt for his health, went to Suez for a week's sight-seeing and while there was mistaken for an important dignitary named Sir George Walker, whose approaching visit was expected. To his surprise he was invited by a local Arab chieftain to go on an elaborately planned excursion to see the Well of Moses. The morning they were to start the distinguished official arrived, and George was unceremoniously left behind. Nothing daunted, he obtained a dragoman and made the expedition alone. (Google Books)
