Prof. Dr. Karin Hausen ist Historikerin und war Gründerin und bis 2003 Leiterin des Zentrums für Interdisziplinäre Frauen- und Geschlechterforschung an der Technischen Universität Berlin. Sie war Mitherausgeberin der Publikationsreihe »Geschichte und Geschlechter« und ist es seit 1996 bei »L'Homme. Zeitschrift für feministische Geschichtswissenschaft«.
