Autorenporträt
Christine Esser writes the type of historical fiction that is banned in Florida. Her characters survive and eventually thrive after enduring slavery, genocide, gender inequality, and a host of other ancient evils.

Christine attended Curtisville Elementary School, where her classmates asked why enslaved people did not fight back to gain their freedom. That question haunted her until she found answers. At that time, students were not taught about slave uprisings. Thus, Christine's books expose this hidden history. The people believed to be cowards by a group of schoolchildren are extremely brave, cunning, and courageous in Christine's books, and in the history not taught to schoolchildren.

Christine's books seek to give a voice to individuals who are never referred to by name in children's textbooks. These stories reveal how enslaved people and those subjected to racism and gender inequality found ways to fight back to survive, and even thrive, against unjust horrific circumstances.

Additionally, Christine writes nonfiction books about personal finance because we all need money to live.

Zeus, the fastest rubber ball retriever in the West, encourages Christine in these efforts.
