David Byrne is Emeritus Professor in the Department of Sociology and Fellow of the Durham Research Methods Centre at Durham University.

Gill Callaghan is Lecturer in Sociology and Social Policy at Durham University.

Emma Uprichard is Reader at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Methodologies (CIM) at the University of Warwick and an applied social science methodologist.
