Dr. Oliver Krause promovierte bei Prof. Dr.-Ing. Kai Mertins am Institut für Werkzeugmaschinen und Fabrikbetrieb der Technischen Universität Berlin. Er arbeitet als Managementberater und in der anwendungsorientierten Forschung im Bereich Unternehmensmanagement am Fraunhofer Institut für Produktionsanlagen und Konstruktionstechnik (IPK-Berlin).
