Khatharya Um is Associate Dean of Social Sciences, and Associate Professor in the Department of Ethnic Studies-Asian American and Asian Diaspora Studies Program at the University of California, Berkeley, USA. Chiharu Takenaka is a former Professor of International Politics at Graduate School of Law and Politics, Rikkyo University, Tokyo, Japan.
