Ronald Wild wurde 1944 in Zürich geboren. Nach der Handelsschule absolvierte er die Hotelfachschule in Lausanne. Nach der Handelsmatura war er in leitenden Positionen in Hotels (4 und 5 Sterne) sowie als selbständiger Geschäftsmann in einer Importfirma tätig. Er ist in einer katholischen Familie aufgewachsen, war als Ministrant tätig und wollte ursprünglich sogar Priester werden. Lediglich der Zölibat hielt ihn davon ab; ein solches Gelübde hätte er sich auf Dauer nicht vorstellen können. Der rüstige Rentner liebt das Lesen und Spaziergänge mit seinem Hund. Nach diversen Zeitungsartikeln ist ¿Gott ¿ eine Illusion?¿ seine erste Buchveröffentlichung.
