Don, the Gogo Guru, is seeking Enlightenment, but he is seeking it in some of the most unlikely places on the planet gogo bars! This novella, which is part memoir, part fiction, follows the ups and downs (both spiritual and physical!) of his quest. The book began as a memoir of my experiences in Thailand in the early 2000's, but somewhere along the way it morphed into fiction, I elaborated on the Gogo Guru's philosophy and made up his interest in the poet, Blake. I also made up the story of him going off with my Bargirl Buddha. From then on, the story, and characters such as Bazza, are entirely fictional. That said, they are true to the types I met on my travels, so the resulting novella is not so very far from a memoir after all.

Bangkok Byron is famous (or should that be "infamous"?) for his numerous contributions to the Thailand forums. Bangkok Byron is, of course, a pen name (earned when he wrote his long narrative poem, Bangkok Don Juan, in the same verse form as Byron's Don Juan) to conceal his identity on account of his adventures (or should that be "misadventures"?) in the fleshpots of SE Asia.
