This story is written through the eyes of Stevie's mother, Theresa Zielinski, born in Chicago, one of seven children, graduated from Loyola University with a BS in Nursing and commissioned as an officer in the US Navy Nurse Corps. She married Steve, her childhood sweetheart, and has five children. As a civilian, she worked in many facets of nursing.
