Autorenporträt
Stephen Kelly was awarded his Ph.D. from the Queensland University of Technology in July of 2015. He began his career as a Drama and English teacher and over the last few years has worked as a literacy consultant. He has research interests in both the philosophy and sociology of education. In bridging these two areas of interest, Stephen's research agenda focuses on the possibilities of democratic education. Using Foucault's concept of parrésia he is interested in how learners are encouraged to become fearless speakers to claims to truth. Stephen has recently accepted a position at the University of New England, Armidale in the School of Education.
