ConnieJean started life fighting for one more hour, one more day, struggling to be like everyone else, to be normal; a fighter, one small step at a time, three steps forward and two steps back. She grew up with a knowledge of struggle and admiration for the quiet, determined ones ... for those who don't give up, those who make the best of the hand they were dealt. She was a very blessed little girl who grew up in a family who came to know and love our Lord Jesus Christ, to know His deep love, compassion, and caring. A little girl who grew up in a time when the streets were safe and neighbors helped and cared for one another, when strangers were good and kind ... a new friend you were about to meet. Bathed in God's love all her life, ConnieJean has been privileged to share His love and compassion, caring for all ages struggling heroically with physical, mental, and emotional handicaps ... burdens seemingly beyond endurance ... paraplegics, and those coming to the end of this life's journey; precious ones, our Father's jewels. She feels abundantly blessed by each one with whom she has had the privilege to share God's love by a tender touch, a compassionate listening ear, a smile, a laugh, a sincere hug. ConnieJean is still married to her teenage heartthrob, deeply cherishes their two sons (Curtis and Randon), 5 grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She is a credentialed minister with the Assemblies of God, and loves her Lord deeply, desiring to be in His presence and bask in His Word. She has held various positions of service including interpreting church services for the deaf, a gift from God at age 12, preaching by age 15, teaching all Sunday School class levels, filling in as interim minister between pastors, serving as youth pastor, and holding various church offices. ConnieJean feels privileged and blessed to have been used in the service of our God. These have been -
