The present book is compilation of many such techniques being used worldwide. Author is teaching the subject of Ground Improvement Techniques in IIT Roorkee for more than a decade. The book has different chapters on various techniques of ground improvement e.g. soil nailing, micropiling, use of geotextiles, use of admixtures, grouting, etc. In some chapters, author has narrated his personal experiences also and give simplified designs for the benefit of engineers community. The book also includes the research work of his Ph.D. students at IIT Roorkee. There is no doubt that the book shall be of great help to undergraduate and postgraduate students in engineering institutions, consultant, researchers, architects and builders.
