Autorenporträt
Paolo Gargiulois a Full Professor and works at the Centre of Medical Technology at Reykjavik University/University Hospital Landspitali. He studied at TU Wien and finished his Ph.D. in 2008. Paolo interests and expertise are mostly in Medical Image processing, Neuroengineering, 3-D printing, and Medical technologies. He developed a 3D-Printing service at Landspitali to support surgical planning with over200 operations plannedwith a significant impact on the Icelandic health care system. He currently cooperates with institutions in Italy and the UK to establish similar infrastructures. Paolo has been the director of theInstitute of Biomedical and Neural Engineeringand the Icelandic center of Neurophysiology since December 2013. He also manages the Center of Medical Technology at the University Hospital Landspitali/ Reykjavik University.
