Barbara Pleasant married a wonderful man she met in high school, and together they have three children and two grandchildren. She graduated from high school; however; she found her education in the written language lacked giving her the mechanics of writing. To learn what was right and wrong, she bought books and taught herself. She didn't begin writing until she realized that she was the last one in her family who still had memories of those who had already passed away. Their stories would be lost forever if someone didn't capture them for the future.
