Produktbeschreibung
Rachel's world is crumbling. Her husband, Daniel, has been away for months, caring for his injured mother, leaving Rachel alone to raise their three children. Feeling abandoned and overwhelmed, Rachel reaches her breaking point and decides to leave, packing her suitcases in a fit of rage and despair.

As she packs, Daniel calls with unexpected newshis mother, Lucia, is recovering and will be moving in with them temporarily. This change forces Rachel to reconsider her plans, but the prospect of their already strained household becoming even more cramped fills her with trepidation.

Rachel stands amidst her hastily packed bags, tears streaming down her face. She feels abandoned by Daniel, burdened by responsibilities, and suffocated by loneliness. Just as she prepares to leave, Daniel's call changes everything. He proposes moving his mother in with them, and Rachel, though hesitant, agrees.

The family's new living arrangements bring immediate challenges. The house feels cramped, and tensions rise as everyone adjusts. Lucia struggles to adapt and feels like a burden. Rachel grapples with exhaustion and frustration, questioning why life has become so difficult. Daniel, torn between his love for his mother and his duty to his family, prays for guidance. The children, especially the two girls forced to share a room, voice their discontent, adding to the household strain.

Rachel and Daniel must navigate these unsettling adjustments, finding strength in their faith and love for each other. Will they be able to hold their family together through these trying times, or will the pressure tear them apart?

Autorenporträt
Karen Kazimer Shockley was raised with an almost overwhelming amount of religious exposure. Karen began a journey to use this information to bring religion to a place where it was real in her life. This process reached critical mass when she met a wonderful man who embodied the true Christian life, without structured religion. Through his influence, she began to recognize spiritual presences in her own life. Her goal is to share these experiences with others so that they, too, can continue their journey to spiritual peace. Karen has followed the maxim, "be all you can be". She started attending Miami University at the tender age of sixteen (soon to be seventeen) as a physics major. Within a year she became the first woman to be awarded an ROTC scholarship. Karen thoroughly valued her time in the Air Force, only resigning her commission when children came her way. Karen owned her own computer consulting company, taught for Park College, worked for many different organizations including Amtrak and now the federal government. An avid reader, as well as publisher of several technical articles, Karen has now turned to authoring her own books. She hopes you will enjoy the reading as much as she enjoyed the writing.
