William Edward Addis (18441917) was a scholar and author. He left the Church of England, converted to Roman Catholicism, and later renounced his faith and joined the Australian Church. He later returned to the Church of England. He is the co-author of A Catholic Dictionary, Christianity and the Roman Empire, and Documents of the Hexateuch.
