The author believes that only human relationships are fonder than one's relationship to one's pet. In fact, and in practice, one's pet quickly becomes family. The author considers upland game hunting to continue to be the gentleman's sport, concluding that hardly anything equals the rouse derived from an intelligent and well-trained bird dog "locked on a steady point" on a covey of quail in Georgia or a pheasant in South Dakota. Such a moment creates a mysterious harmony and unique bond between the hunter and his "friend." The author graduated from Truett McConnell University and Mercer University, earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He also graduated from Southeastern Seminary earning the Master of Divinity, all of which greatly contribute to the enjoyment of the meaning of life's journey.
