Autorenporträt

Raquel Pagno was born in Lages, Santa Catarina, in 1982. She writes since childhood and graduated in Business Administration and nowadays works as a designer and cartographer. She published in the book Contos de Grandes Autores Brasileiros (Tales of Great Brazilian Authors), by Câmara Brasileira de Jovens Escritores (Brazilian Chamber of Young Writers), and in dozens of literary anthologies. She participated in the Audiobook Vampiros de Alma (Vampires of Soul), by Radio Digital Rio (Rio Digital Radio) and ColetâneaSede Vampírica (Vampiric thirst collectanea), withPaulo Coelho and Stephen King featured. She publishes in the blog As Leituras da Mila (The Readings of Mila), where weekly stories and chapters of books are postedin the column entitled "No Meu Mundo..." ("In My World ..."), and in the blog between Escrita e os Meus Escritos(Writing and My Writings), in the column"Falo Mesmo!"("I Really Speak!"), about herexperiences in literary circles. She won the 8th literary contest of Suzano, Cora Coralina edition, in the category "Contos" ("Tales") in the year 2012 and won the Prêmio Literário Cláudio de Souza(Literary Prize Cláudio de Souza), in the category Melhores Contistas (Best Tale Writers). In 2013 she received the Prêmio Luso-Brasileiro (Luso-Brazilian Prize) in the category Melhores Contistas(Best Tale Writers)and the 2nd place in the I Festival de Contos do Rio de Janeiro(I Festival of Tales of Rio de Janeiro). She was awarded with theDiamonds of Art and Education Award by Abrasa, the Prêmio Latino Americano de Excelência Artística (Latin American Award for Artistic Excellence), the Prêmio deExcelência Cultural(Cultural Excellence Award), celebrating the 70th anniversary of Associação Brasileira de Desenho e Artes Plásticas- ABD (Brazilian Association of Drawing and Visual Arts).
