Kristi Weldon has been a professional business writer and editor for major corporations as well as a trade magazine since the 1990s. Since the first publishing of "What Bipolar Feels Like," this award-winning teacher has gone through a divorce and multiple hospitalizations and felt a need to expand the content of "Help! I'm Bipolar" significantly. A bipolar advocate who worked on a staph vaccine in a biochemistry lab at a major medical research university, Kristi subscribed to the "Journal of Clinical Psychiatry" while researching and writing the book. Her current company has an amazing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policy, and she has been working with the DEI Committee to provide better support for employees with mental health challenges. A 2024 Co-Chair of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals' Mental Health Affinity Group, Kristi is a hybrid award-winning contemporary romance author, multi-published as Kristine Bria and Kristi Hancock, respectively.
