I pulled out the final pieces of my outfit - fishnet hose and towering black high heels. The hose clung tightly to my shaven legs - I made sure to re-do them every night before making contact - and the heels felt tight on my feet and added almost six inches to my height. I was barely able to move in them at first even with my week of practice, but Bonnie steadied me and gave me a few tips. She seemed to sense my hesitance about the outing and just said "Don't worry, honey, you'll be fine." and sat me down to apply my make-up. She lovingly spread the red lipstick across my lips and darkly shadowed my eyes, treating me like a little girl's treasured doll.
